This guide is aimed to get you to altar Level 5 as fast as possible. Therefore starting gold is assumed. Here under is a list of total gold and material costs to get to altar level 5.

If this is your first plot, know that at the time of writing gold trading is permitted on the official Axie Infinity Discord server. You can buy gold from other players to speed up your progress. If you are not in a rush, you can also earn gold by playing the game. The choice is yours.

At the time of writing getting the starting gold with AXS is feasible for around 3AXS, always DYOR before any peer to peer trading. And aim to do business with someone that already has a good reputation on the Official discord server. A good rule of thumb is people that have made several sells before, and you see posting often and other players are happy to do business with them.
